Description
Western Riverside Waste Authority ("WRWA") was established in 1986 as an autonomous statutory local government body to manage the 400,000 tonnes of waste and recyclables collected by the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Lambeth, Wandsworth and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, generated by nearly a million local residents and businesses. WRWA owns two riparian solid waste transfer stations and another wharf, including Cringle Dock Waste Transfer Station, Battersea. Cory Environmental Holdings Limited ("Cory") is one of the United Kingdom's leading sustainable resource management, recycling, and energy recovery companies. Cory is the oldest continuously operating commercial operator on the Thames and operates one of the largest Energy from Waste ("EfW") facilities in Europe at Belvedere, London Borough of Bexley. Cory's lighterage operation, supported by multiple processing and river logistics facilities, transports a third of all of the tonnage on the river, removing in the region of 100,000 lorry movements from the capital's roads every year. Cringle Dock Waste Transfer Station, SW8 5BN, is a freehold site situated in the London Borough of Wandsworth, owned by WRWA and leased to Cory as part of its waste management contract which expires in 2032. Around 260,000 tonnes a year of waste is containerised and transported by barge to Cory's EfW. Around 15,000 tonnes a year of bulk recyclables are transported out by road. The Cringle Dock site ex...tial conflict of interest with other landowners, contractors or public bodies must be fully disclosed. - CVs of proposed team (s) - Two referees Evaluation of proposals Proposals will be assessed on the basis of information provided by the Consultant at the time of the proposal submission.
