Description
This requirement is to deliver a Building Management System (BMS) upgrade works project, together with the associated network infrastructure requirements and some additional options at The National Archives in Kew, TW9 4DU.
The BMS Contractor shall be the Principle Contractor and shall liaise with the Client's Engineer, the Client's CDM Co-Ordinator (as applicable) as well as all relevant parties to ensure that the Works are completed in accordance with current CDM regulations and the agreed programme.
Due allowances shall be made for Works within an occupied building, including any required out of hours and weekend working to undertake the Works and the co-ordination of the engineering services with the existing services and structure.
The BMS Contractor shall be fully aware of the construction of the building by detailed inspection of the building engineering HVAC, CHW & LTHW services drawings, BMS upgrade specifications and existing BMS.
The BMS Contractor shall also be aware of the existing fire Cause & Effect Strategy which shall be maintained throughout these upgrade Works.
Where required, the BMS Contractor shall liaise closely with the relevant statutory authorities as necessary to ensure that the Works comply fully with their requirements and recommendations. Where applicable, the BMS Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining local authority approval of the install.
This will be a restricted competition, with an envisaged minimum of 3 and an envisaged maximum of 5 potential suppliers being invited to respond to the full tender subsequent to assessment of completed pre-qualification questionnaires.
