Description
North East Lincolnshire Council is delivering a public realm improvement scheme in Grimsby town centre, which will create a new civic square on the site of the former bus station at the Riverhead. The square will include new paving, installation of benches, new street lighting, planting of additional trees, constriction of a bridge, and erection of a large canopy in the centre of the square. Due to funding, the scheme is being delivered in two phases. Phase one will be delivered by the end of March 2021 to comply with funder requirements, and includes two new tree pits, new paving along the water side, and a number of above ground improvements including
the installation of decorative tree grilles, and new street furniture.

A suitably qualified archaeologist is required to be present to record archaeological deposits encountered during works at Riverhead Square, Grimsby.
